Hello, my name is Morten. I’m an exchange student at the Johns Hopkins University, and I have been asked to give a speech to you guys about how the American dream has changed over time.
When I came to the U.S, I had to say the Pledge of Allegiance which gave me a prejudice about the young Americans growing up with respect and honor to the country.
Before I came to the United States, I was nervously adapting to the country because where I come from, we don’t have the same passion to be the best.
My mother always tells me, I should do whatever I want. She doesn’t care if it’s becoming a dustman or an entrepreneur.
She is happy if I find a job that I’m happy with and prefer, instead of another more powerful job. So that’s my first advice to you people, to find a job you’re happy with.
