In Just Like That by Michael Richards, we follow a day in the lives of a young boy and a man in the Australian outback.
The story depicts the boy’s desire to become a man and the way he is influenced by his surroundings.
Our two main characters are out hunting for kangaroos, exploring the wilderness. Cars and rifles give us the impression that we are in a relatively recent time period.
The story starts out with the boy and the man arriving in the wilderness preparing themselves for the hunt. Quickly they are thrown into the rough grass, ready to kill some kangaroos.
