We all know fast fashion is bad, but how bad is it? Or how bad will it become? The world consumes 80 billion pieces of new clothing each year. The globally fast fashion industry brings in $1.2 trillion each year.

The increase of overconsumption and mass production of clothes made big corporations move their production. They moved to developing countries in Asia, where the wages and prices are low.

How can manufacturers be profitable and sustainable at the same time? Where should they get their resources from? There are so many questions when we start to talk about sustainability.

Companies like H&M and Patagonia have integrated CRS into their business model. This means that there are going to be many changes.

Manufacturers must think about their labour force, using children to make garments might not be the best publicity. Sustainability might affect their products and their product packaging as well
