Carpe Diem – A phrase with so much meaning behind its words. Carpe Diem is a Latin phrase and is translated as “Seize the day”.
But what is actually meant by Carpe Diem? What is so special about “Seize the day” and how do we understand it in our society today?
If there is something that our generation forgets, then it is that “Every man dies. Not every man really lives.” The current society we are living in is too lazy.
Understood in the way that we must realize that the time to live fully is now. Not tomorrow, just because we are a bit tired today or next month when we are finished with the exams. We need to act now.
Another problem in our society is, that it is easy for anyone to act like if you are living “The perfect life” on Instagram and making up that you are living life to the fullest, but if it’s just a facade to show the rest of the world how “Happy” you are, then what is the whole point?
The best feeling in the world is when I put all my worries aside and live a carefree life. I would be absolutely devastated if I am not happy with the outcome of my life when I die. This makes me realise that you only live once, but if you live it right, once is enough.
