The former president Barack Obama gave a speech at the 2020 Democratic National Convention. He was the 44th president of the united states and the first African American president.
He was elected November 4, 2008 and swore on January 20, 2009. He has a degree in political science and international politics for Columbia University. He and his wife, Michelle Obama, are proud parents of two daughters, Malia and Sasha.
He then goes to talk about how Donald Trump has not grown into jobs in his 4 years of being the president.
”For close to four years now, he's shown no interest in putting in the work; no interest in finding common ground;
no interest in using the awesome power of his office to help anyone but himself and his friends; no interest in treating the presidency as anything but one more reality show that he can use to get the attention he craves”.
This speech is for the Americans, he wants them to know how little Donald Trump has had an impact on the country’s welfare and future.
He wants the audience to vote for Joe Bidden by talking about how much better he is then Donald Trump. How good and passioned he is for democracy and cares about every single American in the US.
Barack Obama also makes the speech personal when he talks about Joe bidden, example when he introduces him “ So let me tell you about my friend Joe Bidden”.
He also talks about Joe Biddens personal experiences example “ I remember when he talked with someone who lost their job Joe remembers the night his father sat him down to say that he´d lost his
when Joe listens to a parent who is trying to hold it all together right know…” Here does Barack Obama seem so more truthful.
